Evaluation of Timber Marketing and Logistics in Brandenburg

The Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Climate Protection (MLUK) and the Brandenburg Forestry Agency are examining the economic efficiency and possible risks of their timber sales process in order to identify areas for improvement. Therefore, MLUK commissioned UNIQUE with the evaluation of timber marketing systems. UNIQUE comprehensively analyzed the sale of wood by state-owned forestry companies in neighboring countries and federal states. Additionally, it examined potential marketing systems for Brandenburg in terms of risk and economic efficiency. UNIQUE also developed recommendations for the implementation of new marketing systems.
