Junior Consultant Livestock GHG – (m/w/d)

Zur Stärkung unseres Teams suchen wir zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine Projektassistenz (m/w/d) im Bereich Business Development.

Job Description

  • Compile GHG inventories for the livestock sector using Tier 1 and Tier 2 methods following IPCC guidance.
  • Identify and assess mitigation and adaptation strategies by estimating their effects on GHG emissions and animal productivity as well as their potential trade-offs.
  • Support the professional management and delivery of high-quality products and services for our clients, including coordination of project team members and external consultants.
  • Support the acquisition of new clients and projects.
  • Identify and engage with relevant stakeholders for each given assignment.
  • Communicate the findings to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master or PhD in animal sciences (e.g., animal production systems, animal nutrition, animal physiology), or other relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of GHG emissions from livestock and experience with quantification of livestock GHG emissions.
  • A keen interest in climate change, socio-economic and environmental issues in developing countries is vital.
  • High degree of initiative and ability to self-manage priorities, deadlines, and complex topics.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Languages: Fluency (written and spoken) in English is required. German and/or French would be an additional asset.
