REDD+ Machbarkeitstudie

The Government of Laos, together with GIZ, is developing a proposal for the Green Climate Fund (GCF) focusing on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in six Northern Provinces. The GCF project, “Implementation of the Lao PDR Emission Reductions Programme through Improved Governance and Sustainable Forest Landscape Management,” will contribute to Lao PDR´s Emission Reduction Program for the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility. UNIQUE’s role in the project was the development of the feasibility study for the project. In the feasibility study UNIQUE made detailed plans for implementation arrangements, budgets, GHG estimates, and more to ensure project success and a quality proposal to the GCF.
