Bioenergie-Produktion im ländlichen Raum (RE-Impact)
Hintergrund
The project aimed to develop Impact Assessment Frameworks for forest based bioenergy feedstock production to influence relevant policies. Impacts on water resources, biodiversity and composition of biofuel plantations were assessed in four countries: Uganda, South Africa, China, and India. UNIQUE supported companies in developing sustainable business standards, provided policy support and developed innovative carbon finance mechanisms, as well as training modules and learning devices.
