Unterstützung des Forestry Development Project (FODEMO)
Hintergrund
The project aims to support the Government of Montenegro in the state forest sector reformation. One of the key areas in forest resource management includes enhancing the sustainability of forest management planning. Many forest management areas are degraded and require rehabilitation to bring them back to commercial viability. An evident lack of information as well as a lack of control and monitoring was detected on the operational level as well as on the national level. UNIQUE was assigned to improve forest management planning, as well as to develop a forest control and inventory system and a forest information system.
