Adaptation and implementation of management software for forest enterprises
Background
The aim of the project was to create a Spanish version of ABIES Forest Information System (FIS) and to develop a product that suits the needs of primarily medium sized private forest holdings in Chile. The intention was to secure a market entry in Latin America, with the prospect of entering additional target markets.
Our contribution
- Acquisition of OEM licenses of FIS, ABIES IT.
- Software development and porting of FIS in other languages.
- Adaptation of FIS for thematic focus on new markets and segments.
- Development of a marketing and sales strategy.
- Optimization of the application software (especially in geographic information systems, forest inventory).
- Organization of sales and cooperation with local partners.
- Customer care and support.
- Training courses for users.
- Maintenance and upgrade on request.
