Due Diligence for a Brazilian Forestry and Carbon Project
Background
Greenfield forestry expansions face execution risk across operations, cost and yield assumptions, and market volatility. At the same time, Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR) carbon project add-ons must meet strict carbon methodology and compliance requirements. Unique was commissioned by the European-based Development Finance Institution to complete a full due diligence, including a site visit and assessments of fund capacity, nursery, operations, costs, markets and prices, the financial model, area audit, and carbon compliance.
