GIZ Project Evaluations (Biodiversity, Agriculture)
Background
Central Project evaluations commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development at the GIZ headquarters perform three basic functions: i) they support evidence-based decision-making, ii) promote transparency and accountability, and iii) facilitate organizational learning by contributing to effective knowledge management. The GIZ’s Evaluation Unit awarded UNIQUE two framework contracts to conduct mid-term and final project evaluations in the thematic areas of ‘Biodiversity’ and ‘Agriculture’. UNIQUE forms part of a pool of contractors that will be requested to evaluate technical cooperation projects according to the evaluation standards of DeGEval Evaluation Society and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development Assistance Committee´s (OECD DAC) Quality Standards for Development Evaluation.
