Background
As part of the special initiative "One World without Hunger," the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development has commissioned the GIZ with the global project "Strengthening Farmers' Organizations for Sustainable Agricultural Development" (GV StäbO). The objective of the project is to strengthen the role of farmers' organizations for sustainable rural development, with a special focus on smallholder farmers. The project supports farmers' organizations in Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Tanzania and India and networks them with international actors. Unique was commissioned to assess the GV StäbO by a project progress analysis against the six criteria of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
