Feasibility Study for Biodiversity and Protected Areas Project
Background
The National Protected Area System of Paraguay oversees a rich diversity of protected areas. Apart from insufficient information about these areas, other challenges such as adaptive management in the context of climate change, budgetary planning and good governance persist. Under the framework of the financial cooperation between Germany and Paraguay, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development secured funds for a project with the objective to improve the management of protected areas and the conservation of biodiversity in Paraguay. The feasibility study conducted by the consortia of UNIQUE / A-Fines guided the subsequent implementation of the project.
