In the State Forests of Mecklenburg-Western Pomperania, annual work must take place on the datenspeicher Wald, Version 2 forest database and planning software (DSW2). This in-cludes archiving or updating the growth processes and the new forest planning results. These ‘DSW2 Jahresabschlussarbeiten’ labeled steps have to be carried out as quickly as possible, due to time limited access for all forestry districts and offices. UNIQUE helped complete the works within a 6 week time frame, after close cooperation with the state forests and Com In GmbH & Co. KG.

• Backup and archiving of the databases at the end of the calendar year.
• Updating of the forest stocking data around the annual growth process.
• Re-import of all forest planning objects completed by the cut-off date of the new year.
• Conversion of the databases from Oracle to MS-SQL Server.
• Improvement of the configuration of the user interface.
