The Vietnamese – German Development Cooperation is carrying out the “Promotion of Sustainable Utilization and Management of Natural Forest, Processing, Trade and Marketing of Important Forest Products” program. An important task of this program is to support the state forestry management agencies at central level. The project is also developing technical guidelines for the implementation of sustainable forest management in a number of pilot provinces with the ultimate goal of achieving FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) forests.

• Analysis of the entire production chain to identify the weaknesses and efficiency gaps.
• Joint identification with the local management of the most important costs and revenue factors.
• Analysis of the organizational structure of several forest enterprises.
• Development of a concept for modern planning, accounting and monitoring.
• Development of an accounting system that incorporates financial and cost accounting.
