Strategy Development for the Pasture Users Association

The recent adoption of the new pasture law in the Kyrgyz Republic triggered substantial public investment in the sector. The World Bank and UN’s International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) provide financial support for Pasture User Groups and Associations and the development and implementation of management plans. GIZ supports capacity building to pilot Pasture User Associations that can serve as a best practice model. In the framework of the assignment, UNIQUE was contracted to provide organizational support for the development of the Association of Pasture Users’ Unions Kyrgyz Jaiyty (KAPUU), which was formed in 2013 and registered as a national Association in 2015.
