Hunting grounds cover almost the entire rural territory of Serbia. The hunting sector is in charge of game management and wildlife conservation. With increased urbanization and recreational use of nature, the hunting sector’s activities overlap more and more with other industries, especially agriculture and forestry. Therefore, it is planned to revise the hunting law and the hunting planning system. The Institute of Forestry in Belgrade, financed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management – Forest Directorate of the Republic of Serbia, commissioned UNIQUE with the analysis of the hunting planning system with proposals for its improvement. The assignment included the support to national experts in the preparation of the Draft Rulebook on the content and manner of designing the hunting planning documents and records on management.

  • Analysis of the hunting planning system, as well as the content of the rulebook.
  • Development of a proposal for improving the planning process in Serbia.
  • Support to national experts in the preparation of the Draft Rulebook.
  • Support to national experts in designing the Draft Hunting Areas Development Plan (pilot areas).
  • Support in designing the Draft Hunting Areas Management Plan and the annual plan (pilot areas).
