Timber Construction Initiative State of Baden-Württemberg

The project; „Wood Construction Initiative Baden-Württemberg – Structural Analysis and Beacon Regions” (in German, Leuchtturmregionen) is a part of the Timber Innovative Program promoted through the Ministry for Rural Area and Consumer Protection, Baden-Württemberg. UNIQUE is carrying out the project as a subcontractor to the Rottenburg Forestry University and has initially updated statistical data on regional wood use in construction. A comparative analysis on rural district level and input from actors in the wood construction sector is used to deduce strategy recommendations to increase wood use for construction purposes. A second work package handles the question of which existing approaches of regional economy support may be most suitable for increasing regional wood use quotas.
