Senior land-use economist (f/m/d)
For our Climate Division, UNIQUE is recruiting a senior land-use economist with working experience in development finance or climate finance. The ideal candidate has a passion for the development of mitigation programs for sustainable land uses (forestry, mangroves agroforestry, agriculture). Professional working experience with development banks is a strong asset. The candidate will work in a highly motivated international team, which develops and supports the implementation of land use projects for different private and public sector clients. Duty station will be at UNIQUE headquarters in Freiburg, Germany, with regular short-term missions into project countries.

National consultants based in Peru-ToR: Environmental-Social Impact and Compliance Assessment with a Good Practice Case Study
Duty station: Peru
Due to COVID travel restrictions, UNIQUE and FiM are seeking external support from national consultants based in Peru, who can deliver designated components of this assignment under the leadership of a senior expert from UNIQUE. In detail, UNIQUE is seeking:
- Environmental specialist and team lead with experience in ESIA and ESDD in forestry or land use operations and expertise in FSC certification. Ideally with additional health and safety knowledge and experience in forest operations and forest industries.
- Social specialist with experience in public consultation, indigenous peoples, gender and human rights matters in Peru.
- Legal specialist / environmental lawyer to structure fair benefit sharing mechanisms (land lease contracts or similar) between the Project and local communities.
