Evaluation Studies for Global Programme Soil Protection and Soil Restoration

The Global Program “ProSoil” is part of the special initiative “Transformation of Agricultural and Food Systems” of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and aims to promote the widespread implementation of climate-smart soil protection and the rehabilitation of agricultural soils. Unique was commissioned to evaluate seven country packages of ProSoil. These evaluations aimed to assess the results of the country packages, to ensure accountability to the BMZ, and to contribute to internal learning from the project. The Global Program was evaluated according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s Development Assistance Committee criteria: coherence, relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability.
