Landscape Restoration Opportunity Assessment

The Government of Tajikistan is determined to address climate change through policies, institutional reform, and investment. The World Bank is also supporting land restoration efforts in Tajikistan. The objective of the assignment was to provide a detailed assessment of forest landscape restoration (FLR) opportunities in Tajikistan. The findings of this assessment will contribute to the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) implementation plan, which will be prepared once the NDC enhancement has been completed. The findings will also be incorporated into the Tajikistan Resilient Landscape Project. UNIQUE developed an evidence- based roadmap and action plan for FLR to support the country in meeting its NDC target.
