Scoping und Coaching für den grünen Klimafonds

The regional REDD+ Himalaya program, of which Nepal is a member, aims to improve implementation conditions for REDD+ measures that are socially and environmentally sound. The Nepalese national forest authorities and forest user groups are seeking to effectively implement REDD+ Himalaya projects with funding from the Green Climate Fund (GCF). However, a clear overarching strategy with objectives is missing, which reduces their competitiveness in obtaining increasingly limited GCF funds. Thus, GIZ commissioned UNIQUE to coach staff of the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and Nepal REDD+ on GCF scoping and proposal definition. This included providing technical support to the working group and facilitating the development of their results into a Concept Note.
