The World Bank addresses climate change, funding and modifications in strategies, policies and investments that enable a shift to a low emissions development and increased climate change resilience. Capacity building is delivered by the World Bank Institute on Climate Change (WBICC) through online e-learning, South-South knowledge sharing, networks and regional and global fora. Under the Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) program, WBICC developed a new e-course on “Developing and Monitoring Agricultural Carbon Projects”. The course included five e-learning modules: 1) the role of agriculture in the context of climate change; 2) introduction of the WB BioCarbon Fund VCS SALM Methodology; 3) soil organic carbon accounting in agricultural projects; 4) the Kenya Agricultural Carbon Project monitoring system; and 5) agricultural carbon project development.

- Finalization of the narrative contents of the e-modules.
- Review of the e-modules’ production, ensuring practicability, simplicity and consistency.
- Delivery assistance of the e-course as an online resource person.
