Mikrofinanzierungslösungen für die Klimawandelanpassung

Climate change impacts are having an increasing impact on Colombian agricultural producers by hurting their productivity. The Inter-American Investment Corporation has partnered with Bancamia, to develop ecosystem-based adaptation credit products in order to help producers invest in adaptation measures. Bancamia is a Colombian microfinance institution with a large agricultural portfolio, positioning them to be an important intermediary to reach Colombia’s small and medium producers. The project consortium had the objective to develop Bancamia’s adaptation credit products by understanding demand for adaptation loans, analyzing the costs and benefits of the adaptation measures, and training Bancamia’s management and credit officers on adaptaiton measures.
