One Mara Carbon Projekt-Zertifizierung

The Greater Mara region faces significant land use management challenges, which impact local ecosystems and livelihoods. A private investor dedicated to ecosystem conservation and restoration is developing a carbon project to restore ecosystem functionality, conserve biodiversity, and improve the livelihoods of local communities dependent on natural resources. The focus will be implementing a rotational grazing system to promote grassland productivity and climate change resilience. Unique was selected for its expertise and having previously created a project opportunity profile that thoroughly assessed emissions reductions and scaling potential. Our contribution will include supporting the development of the project description in line with the Verified Carbon Standard, including Climate, Community, and Biodiversity aspects (VCS/CCB standards).
