Burkina Faso faces accelerating deforestation, land degradation, and climate-related risks; security constraints and data gaps hinder verification efforts. Environmental and Social (E&S) enforcement, as well as addressing water stress, remain challenging. Finance in Motion’s eco.business Fund Development Facility supports participating institutions to finance deforestation‑free, sustainable investments. The project aimed to deliver a country profile, risk maps, and a web tool highlighting hotspots, no‑go areas, and mitigation options for key value chains.
